- Mia Ruffalo kept the Eagles even during an early Charleston Southern stretch, saving shots by Jillian Brown at 8:27 and Rachel Gopalakrishnan at 14:45.
- The Eagles pushed forward with a corner kick at 16:32 and a Mia Silber shot at 17:04, but the match stayed scoreless through the middle of the half.
- Evyn Schokora sent a shot to the left at 39:50, and Charleston Southern had a late offside call and a Kelly Gende shot missed left before the half ended without a goal.
- Charleston Southern moved ahead 1-0 at 50:38 when Danika Birch scored off an assist from Jillian Brown; the Eagles generated a corner shortly after and Amalie Steen sent a shot left.
