Fort Mill Girls, Boys Volleyball Lose to Nation Ford

The Nation Ford High School Falcons girls’ volleyball team (33-7 overall, 11-0 in 5A-Region 3) defeated their cross-town rival, the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets (7-7 overall, 5-6 in 5A-R3), in a hard-fought region match at home on Thursday. The Falcons secured the victory 3-1, extending their region winning streak.

Nation Ford took the first two sets decisively, establishing a strong presence on the court, but the Yellow Jackets rallied in the third set to stave off the sweep. The Falcons, currently ranked No. 4 in South Carolina, bounced back in the fourth set to close out the rivalry match and maintain their perfect region record.

In the boys’ rivalry contest held at Fort Mill High School, the Nation Ford Falcons boys’ volleyball team (5-6 overall) secured a dominant sweep over the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets (5-7 overall) with a 3-0 victory.

The South Carolina High School League has set the dates for the postseason, though the complete brackets for all teams are not yet available. Both Nation Ford and Fort Mill will be advancing to the playoffs.

Girls Volleyball Playoffs

  • First Playoff Date (All Classes): Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025.
  • State Championship Dates: Nov. 1, Nov. 6, & Nov. 8, 2025.

As the Region 3 champion, the Nation Ford Falcons (33-7 overall, 11-0 in region) will likely have a first round bye. The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets (7-7 overall, 5-6 in region) should qualify and will begin their playoff run next week.

Boys Volleyball Playoffs

The boys’ volleyball season has a slightly later championship date, but information on the full bracket is not immediately available.

  • Boys Volleyball State Finals: Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.

While Nation Ford (5-6 overall) and Fort Mill (5-7 overall) have completed their regular season, their post season fate is yet to be determined.
