A GLANCE AT THE EAGLES
- Winthrop is 1-of-13 teams competing in the event while Alabama and LSU have individuals playing as well
- This is Winthrop’s first trip to the GMAC Invitational since 2021
- Eagles opened the season at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate where they were 14th
- Thomas Lamar led the Eagles with a T19 finish as he was 2-under for the event
- Andrew Gregory finished the event at 1-under for a T25 finish
- The last time the Eagles competed in this event the teams played the Robert Trent Jones at Silver Lakes, where this year will be played at Inverness C.C.
- Garret Fader is making his season debut

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Associate Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida.
