Led by a dominant individual performance from Addie Lupton, the Fort Mill High School Girls Varsity Golf team secured a 161–179 victory over cross-town rival Nation Ford on Wednesday at Tega Cay’s The Cove course.
Lupton stole the show over the nine-hole competition, firing an exceptional score of 29 to set the pace for the Yellow Jackets. Fort Mill’s team total was rounded out by steady contributions from Lauren Venino (40), Claire Collins (46), and Skylar Sartwell (46).
Nation Ford put up a solid team effort, anchored by Campbell Reiking, who posted a team-best score of 40. Piper Sabino added a 42, while Carolyn Miller (45) and Brooke Parker (52) contributed to the Falcons’ final tally of 179.
With four counting scores under 47, Fort Mill’s depth and Lupton’s standout round proved to be the difference in the rival matchup.
