The Tega Cay Men’s Golf Association held its Two Man Shootout in a handicapped, two man best ball format, with the Flight 2 title decided on a scorecard playoff and team and individual skins awarded across both flights.
In Flight 1, the team of Tom McGrath and James Gorzynski took first place with a net score of 6 under par on a gross 100. Matt Bowman and Paul Liles finished second at net 5 under on a gross 101. Two teams tied for third at net even par, each posting a gross 106. Those teams were Kenny Hall and Don Muccilli, and Brandon Fender and Robert Harty.
Flight 2 required a tiebreaker for first place. Jeff Roesler and Zac Musick and the team of Mark Cruz and Jim Mowery both finished at net 3 under par on a gross 103. The association followed United States Golf Association rules, which break a tie by comparing back nine scores. Roesler and Musick posted a team net 52 on the back nine to Cruz and Mowery’s net 56, giving Roesler and Musick first place and Cruz and Mowery second.
