From the Fairway: Tega Cay Sun to Cover the 2026 Truist Championship at Quail Hollow

Tournament officials have officially unveiled the star-studded field for the 2026 Truist Championship, scheduled for May 6–10 at the prestigious Quail Hollow Club. As one of only eight Signature Events on the PGA TOUR, this tournament promises elite competition, and the Tega Cay Sun will be onsite to provide comprehensive coverage of the action.

The 72-player field features a powerhouse lineup, including eight of the world’s top 10 golfers. Highlighting the roster is World No. 2 Rory McIlroy, who arrives at Quail Hollow seeking a record-extending fifth tournament title following his recent successful defense at the Masters. He is joined by defending champion Sepp Straka, who looks to maintain his momentum after a career-best 2025 season. Other top-ranked contenders include Matt Fitzpatrick (No. 3), Cameron Young (No. 4), and Collin Morikawa (No. 6).

The event also marks a homecoming for several past champions, including two-time winner Max Homa, Jason Day, and Rickie Fowler. While most of the field is set, the final roster will be solidified on Monday following the confirmation of the last sponsor exemption and any shifts in the FedExCup standings or World Rankings.

With a blend of seasoned veterans and the TOUR’s most exciting young talent, the 2026 playing of the Truist Championship is poised to be a landmark event. Tickets and further details are available at TruistChampionship.com.
