It was a highly productive Wednesday for the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets as Varsity programs swept their matchups, highlighted by a scoring explosion on the lacrosse field and a defensive clinic on the diamond. While the JV ranks saw mixed results, the top-tier squads set a high bar for the rest of the week’s action.

Lacrosse: Varsity Dominance
The Varsity Lacrosse teams put on a clinic against Catawba Ridge. The Girls Varsity squad traveled away and secured a commanding 19-9 victory, showcasing a high-powered offense that the opposition simply couldn’t contain. Back at home, the Boys Varsity team was equally impressive, dismantling Catawba Ridge in a 17-4 blowout.
However, it wasn’t a clean sweep for the lacrosse program; the Girls JV team struggled on the road, falling 13-3 to a tough Catawba Ridge side.
Baseball: Pitching Shines
On the diamond, Varsity Baseball hosted Northwestern in a classic pitcher’s duel. The home side leaned on stellar defensive play and timely hitting to secure a 3-0 shutout win, keeping their momentum rolling as they head into the series rematch later this week.
