Jackets, Warriors Set for Friday Night Region Showdown

The lights will be bright across the Upstate tonight as Fort Mill High School enters a pivotal Friday of region play, highlighted by a massive home-and-home soccer series and a crucial diamond duel against Rock Hill.

The Yellow Jackets find themselves in the thick of the hunt for playoff positioning. Tonight’s slate is headlined by the Varsity Boys Soccer team, which welcomes Indian Land to the Bob Jones Stadium at 7:00 PM. The Jackets are looking to defend their home turf against a physical Warrior squad in a match that carries significant weight for the region standings.

Meanwhile, the Varsity Girls Soccer team travels to Indian Land, looking to continue their momentum on the road. Both programs are hoping for a “clean sweep” of the Warriors to solidify their status as the teams to beat in the area.

Action on the Diamond

The Fort Mill Varsity Baseball team hits the road tonight to face off against Rock Hill High. After a week of intense practice, the Jackets’ pitching rotation will be tested against a Bearcat lineup known for its aggressive plate discipline. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 PM at Rock Hill.

Back at home, the Varsity Softball team will host Indian Land at 7:00 PM. The Lady Jackets have been dominant at the plate recently and will look to keep the bats hot in front of the home crowd.
