TEGA CAY, S.C. — Balancing the grueling demands of Division I college football with a rigorous academic course load is no small feat, but Tega Cay’s own Brady Ambrose is making it look seamless.
Ambrose, a standout student-athlete playing for the Campbell University Fighting Camels, was recently recognized by the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Football conference, earning the prestigious “High Honors with Distinction.” This elite recognition is strictly reserved for student-athletes who maintain a flawless 4.0 Grade Point Average.
The recent CAA accolade is just the latest in a string of impressive academic achievements for the Tega Cay native. Since enrolling early at Campbell University in January 2025, Ambrose has been a fixture on the university’s President’s List. He has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA while tackling one of the most demanding academic tracks available: a major in Chemical Engineering.
Succeeding in a STEM field like Chemical Engineering requires immense dedication, late nights, and intense focus, qualities Ambrose is clearly applying both in the classroom and on the gridiron. While many college freshmen spend their first semesters adjusting to the transition away from home, his early enrollment allowed him to get a jump start on his coursework and collegiate athletic conditioning, setting a high standard for his peers.
By consistently delivering top-tier performance in his engineering courses and representing Campbell University in D1 football, Ambrose continues to make his hometown proud, proving that elite athleticism and academic excellence can go hand-in-hand.
