TEGA CAY, S.C. — Brisk winds and chilly air didn’t stop the Tega Cay Men’s Golf Association from grinding through 27 holes on Saturday for its Fall Member-Member tournament, played as three distinct nine-hole formats: Alternate Shot, Both Ball, and Shamble. Teamwork and shot making were at a premium all day as players adjusted to gusts and fast greens across the three segments.
In Flight 1, the duo of Doug Champagne & Jake Rand navigated the elements with steady play to finish even par, securing the flight title. Flight 2 came down to the final holes, where Dave Morgan & Don Muccilli held on at +7 to top a crowded leaderboard.
