The York High School Cougar Band and their accompanying Cougarettes brought home some impressive hardware following their strong showing at the C. Phillip McIntyre Tournament of Bands, held Saturday at James F. Byrnes High School.
The band and dance team were recognized for their captivating performance, earning the top prize for High Visual Effect in their competitive class. In addition to the visual honors, the Cougars cemented their competitive standing by securing a solid 2nd Place overall in their class at the prestigious tournament. The C. Phillip McIntyre event is a major competition that draws top marching band programs from across the region.
