Tega Cay, SC – The Tega Cay Golf Club Women’s Championship brought out two days of spirited competition, culminating in an exciting finish that crowned Dawn Klena as the overall champion. Klena posted a two-day gross score of 184 to claim the title, edging out runner-up Wonda Woodley, who finished with a total of 189.
In the Net Division, known as the “Tega Cay Bowl,” Linda Taylor emerged victorious with a steady performance, finishing with a two-day net score of 10-over par. Just two strokes behind, Tracy Thorpe secured the runner-up position at 12-over par.
As part of the tradition, the winners were awarded the coveted key ring, a symbol of excellence passed along each year to new champions.
The event highlighted not only the skill of the players but also the camaraderie and sportsmanship that define women’s golf at Tega Cay. Participants and supporters alike described the championship as a great day of competition and community spirit.
