Yellow Jackets, Lady Falcons Secure Volleyball Wins

The Fort Mill and Nation Ford volleyball teams both clinched victories in Tuesday’s matches, with each winning their respective games by a score of 3-1.

The Nation Ford Falcons girls team defeated the rival Catawba Ridge Copperheads in a home conference match. The Falcons now boast a 14-4 overall record and are undefeated in their 5A-D3 region with a 4-0 record. The Copperheads, who were previously unbeaten in region play, now hold a 3-1 region record and are 10-6 overall. Nation Ford will travel to Clover for their next match, while Catawba Ridge will host Rock Hill.

The Nation Ford boys volleyball team was swept in a 3-0 loss against Catawba Ridge. With the victory, the Copperheads improved to 4-0 in the 5A-D3 conference and 12-3 overall. Meanwhile, the Falcons’ record now stands at 7-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

Across town, the Fort Mill boys team triumphed over the Blythewood Bengals in a non-conference home game. The Yellow Jackets’ win improves their overall record to 4-7, while they maintain a 1-3 record in 5A-D3 conference play. Fort Mill will face Indian Land in an away game on Thursday.
