Yellow Jackets Put Unbeaten Record on the Line Against Bruins

The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets are looking to continue their historic start to the season tonight as they take on the winless Lancaster Bruins in a non-conference home game at 7:30 p.m.

The Yellow Jackets come into the contest with a perfect 3-0 record, a feat they have not accomplished since the 2017 season when they last had more than two wins on a season. Meanwhile, the visiting Bruins are still searching for their first victory of the year, holding an 0-3 record.

Fort Mill’s offense has been powered by a balanced attack this season. The team is averaging 108 rushing yards per game and 199 passing yards. Junior running back Broden Mitcheson has been the engine of the ground game, averaging 98 yards per game, while senior wide receiver Jameson Terrell has been a consistent deep threat, averaging 81 receiving yards per game.

The Yellow Jackets’ non-conference schedule wraps up tonight. Next week, they’ll open conference play with a road game against their cross-town rivals, the Catawba Ridge Copperheads. Catawba Ridge, which defeated Spring Valley last night, is currently 3-1 and holds a 36-23 all-time record since its inaugural season in 2019.
