Local Students Named to Dean’s, President’s Lists at The University of Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, AL (06/11/2025)– A total of 14,289 students enrolled during spring semester 2025 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).

Fletcher Vogt of Fort Mill was named to the Presidents List.

Jules Fox of Fort Mill was named to the Deans List.

Madeline Bell of Fort Mill was named to the Presidents List.

Bryce Vander Horn of Indian land was named to the Deans List.

Will Everett of Indian Land was named to the Presidents List.

Sydney Lyons of Lake Wylie was named to the Deans List.

Thomas Hyslip

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
