The Fort Mill School District is delighted to announce Jocquin Fuller as the 2024-2025 District Teacher of the Year. Mr. Fuller, the band director at Fort Mill Middle School, has been recognized for his dedication to music education and his positive impact on students.
Mr. Fuller was honored at the district’s annual kickoff event for the school year.
As part of this prestigious award, Mr. Fuller received several exciting prizes. These include a gift basket, a two-night stay at the Springmaid Mountain Resort courtesy of the Anne Springs Close Greenway, a commemorative ring from Jostens, $1,500 from LMG Construction Management, and the use of a new car from Stateline Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat for a year.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
