The Fort Mill School District is proud to announce Heather Aiazzi as the 2024-2025 District Support Staff Employee of the Year. Ms. Aiazzi, a dedicated mental health counselor, recently transitioned from Fort Mill Middle School to Pleasant Knoll Middle School, continuing her commitment to the well-being of students.
Ms. Aiazzi was honored at the district’s annual kickoff event for the school year. The celebration highlighted her exceptional contributions to the mental health and support services for students across the district.
In recognition of her outstanding service, Ms. Aiazzi received a generous array of awards, including a gift basket, a two-night stay at the Springmaid Mountain Resort courtesy of the Anne Springs Close Greenway, a commemorative ring from Jostens, and a $1,500 award from SouthState Bank.
Congratulations, Ms. Aiazzi, and thank you for your continued commitment to supporting the mental health and success of our students.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
