York County Sheriff’s Race to Head to Runoff

York County, SC – The race for York County sheriff will proceed to a runoff election after none of the five candidates secured a majority of the votes. With all precincts reporting, Michael Belk leads the field with 26.57% of the vote. Tony Breeden follows closely behind with 25.81%.

Since neither candidate achieved the required 50% threshold, a runoff election is scheduled for June 25 to determine the final winner.

The remaining candidates’ results are as follows:

  • Chris Blevins: 16.97%
  • Heath Clevenger: 12.35%
  • Beth Bryant Tolson: 18.31%
