Early Voting Begins for Statewide Primary

Early voting for the Statewide Primary has officially begun in the Tega Cay and Fort Mill areas, offering residents the opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of the June 11 primary day. This year, there are four key elections for Republican candidates, with no Democratic primaries in the region.

Residents will be voting in the following Republican primaries:

York County Sheriff:

  • Tony Breeden
  • Beth Bryant Tolson
  • Michael Belk
  • Chris Blevins
  • Heath Clevenger

Solicitor for the 16th Judicial Circuit:

  • Kevin Brackett (incumbent)
  • Tyler Bratton

State House of Representatives District 66:

  • Jackie Terribile
  • Michelle Branning

State House of Representatives District 26:

  • Elizabeth Enns
  • David Martin

Early voting will take place from Tuesday, May 28 to Friday, June 7, excluding weekends and state holidays. Early voting centers will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during this period.

The early voting centers for the 2024 June Primaries are as follows:

  • York County Government Building

  • Carolina Cornerstone
    • 1790 Gardendale Rd, Fort Mill, SC 29708
  • Baxter Hood Center at York Tech
    • 375 Anderson Rd. S, Rock Hill, SC 29730

Early voting will continue until June 7, providing ample opportunity for those who may not be able to vote on the official primary day. The participation of the community in these primaries is crucial as it determines the candidates who will represent the Republican Party in the general election.
