Charlotte, NC – The 2023 Outdoor Classic, a thrilling ice hockey match between the UNC-Charlotte 49ers and the Appalachian State Mountaineers, is set to take place at Truist Field, the home of the Charlotte Knights. Scheduled for Friday, November 17th at 7 pm, this event is a highlight of the Light the Knights Festival, sponsored by Truist.
The 49ers Ice Hockey Club, an entirely student-managed team includes alumni in its staff and currently ranks 2nd in their Regional Division. They compete in the ACCHL Division II, which features teams from universities like NC State, Duke, Elon, Wake Forest, and UNC-Charlotte.
Tickets for the classic are available online with prices at $20 for adults and $15 for students with UNCC & App IDs. A limited number of student tickets will be available at the door on presentation of ID, while all other tickets need to be bought online.
