Mallory Dittmer, Democratic Nominee for the 5th Congressional District, today announced Rally The Vote, a kick-off celebration of early voting (Oct. 19-31), in Rock Hill, SC, on Sunday, October 18. She will be joined by co-hosts Dr. Jermaine Johnson, Democratic nominee for Governor, and State Rep. John King, Democratic nominee for re-election to the 49th District. The celebration will feature food trucks and performances by the Clinton College Collegiate Ensemble and the Clinton College Sankofa Collective African American Drum Troupe, as well as DJ entertainment provided by Harmony Luxe Entertainment, LLC
“It’s been a joy and a privilege to spend the past thirteen months getting to know voters in District 5, issues they care about and how to best serve them in Congress. What I’ve heard most is a call for change in Washington – a government that actually works to address their needs, from the outrageously high cost of living to the lack of affordable health care options, and offers a path to a brighter future,” Dittmer explained. “I can’t wait to make that happen! Change is possible and this election is our best shot. Please round up your friends and family and make your voices heard!”
Rally the Vote will be held on Sunday, October 18, 5:30 – 7:00 pm at Fountain Park, 300 E. Main St. in Rock Hill SC. South Carolina voters can go to scvotes.org for information on polling locations and hours; early voting runs October 19-31.
Dittmer’s grassroots campaign, which kicked off last October, has drawn wide bipartisan support with a message of bridging the partisan divide, putting Congress back to work and addressing the needs of working families.
