Nation Ford Marching Band Defends BandBEAT Championship Title

In a display of precision, artistry, and musical dominance, the Nation Ford High School Marching Band captured the 5A Class Championship and repeated as Overall Champion at the 2026 BandBEAT Marching Band Championship on Saturday, October 3, hosted at Catawba Ridge High School in Fort Mill.

The victory marks the second consecutive year Nation Ford has claimed the top prize at the prestigious regional competition.

Executing their 2026 program with sharp field coverage and exceptional tone quality, Nation Ford finished atop the 5A division with a winning score of 87.500, outpacing local rival Fort Mill High School (85.200) and North Carolina’s Mooresville High School (80.750).

In addition to taking the Class 5A crown, the Falcons swept every major caption award en route to the Overall Championship trophy, earning top honors in Best Music Performance, Best Visual Performance, and Best Overall Effect across all competing classes.

  • 1st Place: Nation Ford High School — 87.500

  • 2nd Place: Fort Mill High School — 85.200

  • 3rd Place: Mooresville High School — 80.750

Nation Ford will look to build on its championship momentum as the band travels to Conway, S.C., on Saturday, October 10, to compete in the Bands of America Carolina Regional Championship at Coastal Carolina University.
