The current office on South Cherry Road will close Sept. 27, with the new location on Northpark Drive opening to the public Sept. 30.
The York County Sheriff’s Office District 3 office in Rock Hill is relocating to a new facility on Northpark Drive, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The current office at 515 S. Cherry Road will close after business hours Friday, Sept. 27. The new office at 236 Northpark Drive will open for public service Monday, Sept. 30, the Sheriff’s Office said. The office will be closed Sept. 28 and 29 while personnel set up the new facility.
Emergency services and patrol operations for District 3 will continue as normal during the closure, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Residents should call 911 for emergencies or the Sheriff’s Office main line at (803) 628-3059 for non-emergency assistance. Metal permit pickups will resume at the new Northpark Drive location starting Sept. 30.
“This new facility will allow us to better serve the Rock Hill community and the residents of District 3,” said Sheriff Tony Breeden. “We appreciate the public’s patience during this brief transition.”
A formal dedication ceremony for the new office will be scheduled later, with additional details to be announced, the Sheriff’s Office said. Residents with questions about the relocation can contact Deputy Trent Faris, the office’s public information officer, at (803) 818-6560.
