Justin Sandler and Dan Arthur won the 2026 Tega Cay Member Guest on Saturday, closing out the 10 team shootout with a net birdie on the 16th hole.
The pair reached the shootout by winning Flight 6, and they got there the hard way. Sandler and Arthur trailed Larry Elia and Ken Berko by 3.5 points after Friday’s three matches, then made up the gap over Saturday’s final two.
Half the flights turned over on the closing day. Larry Harley and Dan Page ran down Chris Burns and Michael Frederich to take Flight 5 after starting the day 1.5 points back. John Van Vranken and John Van Vranken came from third to win Flight 2, a flight that had Andrew Zondervan and Lee Chatfield in front and Chris Hart and Steven Lorenzen half a point behind them Friday night. Dave Kimpel and Blair Creedmore broke a tie with Vince Louther and Clint Stephens to take Flight 8.
Four flights went to the teams that led them into Saturday. Justin Sutton and Bobby LeFear held on in Flight 1, Jeff Bridges and TJ Bridges in Flight 3, Steve Young and Randy Hinsley in Flight 4, and Jeff Roesler and Dave Klaus in Flight 7.
Teams played five nine hole matches inside their flights across the two days, three on Friday and two on Saturday. The eight flight winners advanced to the shootout along with the top team that did not win a flight and one team drawn at random from the rest of the field.
