Winthrop University has named a group of York and Lancaster County students to its Presidents List, recognizing students who earned a 4.0 grade point average during the semester.
The honor reflects sustained academic achievement at the Rock Hill university, which draws a significant share of its student body from the surrounding region. For families across Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Rock Hill, York, Clover, Indian Land, Lake Wylie and the rest of the two county footprint, the list offers a snapshot of how many local students are excelling at one of the area’s largest higher education institutions.
