A Rock Hill lottery player won $50,000 in Monday night’s Powerball drawing after adding the Double Play feature to a ticket purchased at Lee’s Convenience Store Plus LLC on Ebenezer Road.
The winning ticket, sold at 2165 Ebenezer Rd., matched four of the first five numbers drawn plus the red Powerball number in the June 15 Double Play drawing. The winning numbers were 22, 23, 28, 32, and 68, with a Powerball of 21. The odds of matching that combination are 1 in 913,129, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.
Double Play is an optional add-on feature available for an additional $1 per Powerball ticket. It gives players a second chance to win using the same numbers in a separate drawing held after each regular Powerball drawing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The top prize in the Double Play drawing is $10 million. Drawings can be watched at Powerball.com.
The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Wednesday night, with a jackpot estimated at $283 million.
