York County issues statements related to recent announcements about Silfab Solar

York County is aware of two unrelated news releases, one from the South Carolina Attorney General and the other from Citizens Alliance for Government Integrity (CAGI) related to the County’s involvement with Silfab Solar. The County has issued the below statements in response.

Statement on the South Carolina Attorney General’s request for an independent review:

“York County shares the Attorney General’s commitment to public safety and welcomes the independent consultant’s review of this matter. We are confident that applicable legal processes and procedures were followed throughout, as multiple courts have now affirmed, and we look forward to cooperating fully with the consultant’s work.”

Statement on CAGI’s petition to the U.S. Supreme Court:

“We believe the legal processes and procedures were properly followed, as multiple courts have now affirmed. We welcome the opportunity for the United States Supreme Court to further review the matter and bring final clarity to this issue.”
