” Harper Valley PTA”, Elvis tunes and those of Kenny Rogers or just some of the tunes that you will hear and see when you watch the Carolina copycats. 18 years ago senior men and women formed the group in Tega Cay and Fort Mill to lip sync to older tunes.
They have continued to perform.
They perform an events and nonprofits such as churches and retirement homes for the enjoyment of the spectators. The performances of vintage music decked out and costumes reminiscent of the songs time period is the goal of the fun living group.
The costumes used would make you think you are in Las Vegas or broadway. Many of the costumes are handmade or donated to the copycats. The group needs volunteers to do makeup, so costumes, pack up equipment and of course perform the lip sync numbers.
The all volunteer nonprofit 501c3 organization provides all the sound equipment costumes and props for each performance they accept donations and use a portion of their funding for local scholarships each year.
