Tega Cay Men’s Golf Association Lone Ranger Tournament Crowns Champion Field

The Tega Cay Men’s Golf Association wrapped up another memorable Lone Ranger Tournament, with competitors showcasing their best golf across a challenging and competitive field. The unique 3 Man Lone Ranger format kept every hole interesting, blending individual net scoring with two man captain’s choice teamwork for a combined score on each hole.

How It Works

In the 3 Man Lone Ranger format, teams of three rotate responsibilities on each hole. One player competes solo, posting a net score capped at triple bogey, while the other two pair up in a captain’s choice format with a bogey maximum and no strokes. The two scores are then combined, making consistency and smart team rotation the keys to a winning round.

The Winners

Derek Prater, Charles Martin, and Douglas Lawrence rose to the top of the leaderboard with a combined net score of 137, capturing first place honors in a field that pushed them every step of the way.

Cleve Coldwater, Vincent Louther, and Dan Manes posted a 138 to finish one stroke back in second place, while two teams deadlocked at 139 shared the third place position. Tom Cannarozzo, Paul Liles, and Ron Birmingham, along with Chris Radu, Justin Sandler, and Jim Mowery, each earned a share of the honors after refusing to separate themselves across 18 holes.
