Fort Mill’s James Abramo Earns Fifth Consecutive Clemson President’s List Honor

CLEMSON, S.C. — Fort Mill native James Abramo has achieved a rare academic milestone, earning a spot on the Clemson University President’s List for the Fall 2025 semester. This marks Abramo’s fifth consecutive semester maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA.

To qualify for the President’s List, one of the university’s highest academic distinctions, undergraduates must complete at least 12 graded credit hours with a flawless grade point average.

Abramo is a student in the Clemson University Honors College pursuing a B.S. in Financial Management with a minor in Accounting. Beyond the classroom, he serves as the Treasurer for the CU Men’s Club Soccer team and is a member of the Beta Alpha Psi business fraternity.

He is on track to graduate this December with an emphasis in Corporate Finance, carrying a multi-year streak of academic excellence into his professional career.

Thomas Hyslip

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
