Sting of Victory: Fort Mill Punches Ticket to Fourth Straight State Final

The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets are officially a dynasty in the making. In a display of pure dominance on Saturday, Feb. 7, the Jackets swept through Greenwood and Eastside to claim the Upper State Championship, securing their spot in the state finals for the fourth consecutive year.

The undefeated Jackets (29-0) will now travel to White Knoll High School this Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 7:30 PM to defend their crown against a familiar foe: the Lugoff-Elgin Demons.

Dominating the Eagles

The road to the finals went through the Eastside Eagles, but the Yellow Jackets left little room for doubt with a 44-23 victory. The momentum started early and never wavered.

Earlier in the day, Fort Mill handled the Greenwood Eagles with a 39-27 win. While the final score looked competitive, the Jackets had the match in a stranglehold early, jumping to a 30-0 lead.

The Yellow Jackets are firing on all cylinders, healthy, and exactly one win away from a historic four-peat.
