Indian Land used a dominant second half Friday night to hand Fort Mill its first region loss of the season, overcoming an early deficit to secure a 45-38 road victory.

The Yellow Jackets (15-4, 4-1 Region 3-5A) appeared to be in control early, holding Indian Land to just four points in the second quarter to take a 20-13 lead into the locker room. However, the Warriors ignited for 32 points in the second half, including a 19-point fourth-quarter surge to pull ahead for good.

Fort Mill looks to rebound Tuesday when they host cross-town rival Nation Ford. The Falcons (14-5, 3-2) enter the matchup following a narrow 68-64 loss to Clover.

Lady Jackets Dominant in Blowout

While the boys struggled, the Fort Mill girls’ team (8-11, 3-2) had no such trouble, dismantling Indian Land 64-15.

The Yellow Jackets utilized a 16-6 second-quarter run to build a commanding 41-8 halftime lead, shooting nearly 50% from the floor during the opening frames. The lead grew large enough to trigger a running clock in the second half. Colbie Wolf fueled the offense with a game-high 24 points.

Fort Mill hosts Nation Ford on Tuesday, Jan. 20, with the girls tipping off at 6:30 p.m.
