William Chester “Bill” Krey, 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Rock Hill, South Carolina,
on December 13, 2025.
Born on April 16, 1951, Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Bui-Nita Krey. He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Diane E. Davis; his brother Hank Krey and sister-in-law Jeanne; cousin Dianne Nemec; nephews Brian Krey (Lorinda) and Douglas Krey (Monica); as well as great-nieces and nephews, extended cousins, and many friends.
Bill was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His warmth and presence left a lasting impression on those around him.
A private celebration of life will be held for family only.
In honor of Bill’s memory, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
