Nation Ford High School Marching Band traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana for Music For All’s Bands of America (BOA) Grand National Championships where they made it to the semifinalist round of competition. The band’s 2025 success makes this the first time Nation Ford has reached the semifinalist round on consecutive trips – in 2023 and 2025.
In preliminary competition, Nation Ford ranked 23rd out of 108 total bands. In semifinals competition, Nation Ford ranked 28th out of 36 semifinalist bands.
The Nation Ford Band’s competitive season is over, but their final appearance for 2025 will be at the 78th Annual Fort Mill Christmas Parade on December 6, 2025.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching.
