The Nation Ford girls’ and Catawba Ridge boys’ volleyball teams secured victories Tuesday to remain undefeated in their respective 5A-Region 3 standings. The Nation Ford girls defeated Rock Hill 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-17) to improve to 25-6 overall and 9-0 in region play. The Catawba Ridge boys followed suit, sweeping Indian Land 3-0 (25-8, 28-26, 25-16). Catawba Ridge moved to 20-4-2 overall and also sit atop their region at 9-0. Elsewhere, the Nation Ford boys’ team fell to Rock Hill, losing 3-1 (25-15, 21-25, 25-18, 25-20), dropping their record to 12-11 overall and 4-5 in the region.
The Fort Mill girls’ volleyball team concluded its regular season home schedule by sweeping Northwestern 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-16). The victory on Senior Night avenged an earlier season loss to the Trojans and helped the Yellow Jackets improve to 7-6 overall and 5-5 in Region 3-5A play. Fort Mill has the opportunity to earn a home playoff match as the postseason approaches.
