Nation Ford and Rock Hill volleyball teams secured 3-1 conference victories Thursday night, with Nation Ford’s girls defeating Indian Land and Rock Hill’s boys overcoming Fort Mill High School. Both matches were on the winners’ home courts.
In the girls’ varsity match, the Nation Ford Falcons defeated the Indian Land Warriors. Nation Ford dominated the first two sets with scores of 25-1 and 25-11. The Warriors rallied to take the third set in a close contest, 25-23, forcing a fourth set. The Falcons quickly regained control, however, winning the decisive set 25-10 to secure the 3-1 victory.
On the boys’ side, the Rock Hill Bearcats overcame an early deficit against the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets. Fort Mill took the opening set 25-22, but Rock Hill rebounded sharply. The Bearcats won three straight sets to claim the conference win, with scores of 25-20, 25-19, and a tight 25-23 finish in the fourth set.
