Fort Mill Swimmers Dominate Fallout Meet, Prep Roundup

Fort Mill High School’s swim teams made a clean sweep at the 2025 Fort Mill Fallout, posting dominant victories over both Nation Ford and Catawba Ridge to claim the overall meet title Thursday night at the Fort Mill Aquatic Center.

In the combined team scoring, Fort Mill’s depth proved too much for its rivals, with the Jackets defeating Nation Ford 223-116 and Catawba Ridge 253-87. Nation Ford also secured a victory in combined scoring, defeating Catawba Ridge 183-156.

The Fort Mill men’s team won both of its matchups, outscoring Nation Ford 112-57 and Catawba Ridge 133-37. The Nation Ford men’s team also recorded a decisive win over Catawba Ridge, winning 98-71.

On the women’s side, Fort Mill continued the trend, besting Nation Ford 111-59 and Catawba Ridge 120-50. The competition was closer between the other two schools, with Nation Ford and Catawba Ridge ending in an 85-85 tie.

The Catawba Ridge boys varsity volleyball team delivered a commanding performance on their home court Thursday night, sweeping rival Fort Mill with a decisive 3-0 victory in the conference match. The Copperheads showcased consistent dominance across all three sets, winning them 25-14, 25-12, and 25-3, respectively.

The Northwestern Trojans girls varsity volleyball team suffered a home conference loss Thursday night, falling in three straight sets to the visiting Nation Ford Falcons. The Falcons were dominant throughout the match, securing the sweep with set scores of 25-12, 25-22, and 25-16.
