Michael James Distaso, 66, of Tega Cay, SC passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2025. He was born on March 10, 1959 in Los Angeles, California and grew up in La Mirada, California. He was also a resident of Downey, California.
Michael’s had a 60+ year passion for cars. He was a literal encyclopedia of knowledge about almost any kind of car you could mention. His proudest possessions were his 1969 Corvette, and his 1964½ and 1988 Mustangs. He was also a sports lover, and was enthusiastic about supporting his Laker, Ram and Dodger teams.
Michael was kind to everyone he met, and he would always go out of his way to help people in any way he could.
He leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Vicki; two cat-kids, Dusty and Midnight; his best friends Dale Harbac and Frank Herrera; and a family of close friends of more than 50 years on the West Coast.
He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
