Falcons, Copperheads stay undefeated in league play

The Nation Ford and Catawba Ridge volleyball teams each secured conference victories Thursday, with both teams remaining undefeated in 5A-Region 3 action.

The Nation Ford Falcons girls team defeated Clover 3-0 with set scores of 25-16, 25-18 and 25-18. With the win, the Falcons improve to 15-4 overall and are 4-0 in region play.

Clover’s boys’ volleyball team swept Nation Ford in a 3-0 victory Thursday. The Blue Eagles won the home conference match with set scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 25-17. The Falcon’s boys team finds themselves at 7-6 overall and 2-3 in the conference.

Catawba Ridge’s boys team also earned a dominant 3-0 victory, defeating Rock Hill with set scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-23. The Copperheads are now 14-3 overall and remain perfect in region play.

In another boys matchup, Fort Mill edged out a five-set victory against Indian Land. The Yellow Jackets won the match 3-2 (23-25, 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 15-7). The win improves Fort Mill’s record to 5-7 overall and 2-3 in region play.
