FORT MILL, S.C. — LPL Financial and its Fort Mill-based affiliate, Financial Resources Group Investment Services, have acquired Coastal Wealth Management Group, a financial services firm in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, managing $175 million in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets.
Coastal Wealth Management Group, formerly affiliated with Osaic, is led by senior financial advisors Timothy E. Taranto, Lloyd Baxter, George Cumbest, and Darryl Meadows. The team also includes Senior Manager of Client Relations Tracie Peters and Executive Assistant Amanda Cumbest.
The firm serves business owners, pre-retirees, and retirees, with a particular focus on clients in the music industry and college athletes. LPL said the acquisition strengthens its national network while giving Coastal Wealth Management Group expanded resources and technology to support its client base.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
