Austin Duncan of York, South Carolina has secured a spot in this week’s Wyndham Championship, beginning July 31, 2025, at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. Duncan earned his place by tying for first in the Monday Open Qualifier at Bermuda Run Country Club’s East Course, carding a 6-under-par 65, one of four golfers to do so.
The one-day qualifier, held July 21, featured 87 competitors vying for four available places in the 156-player PGA Tour field. Scotty Kennon, Stephen Franken, Tain Lee and Duncan each fired matching 65s to advance to this week’s championship.
According to official results, Duncan’s performance placed him tied for first at –6, earning him medalist honors alongside his fellow qualifiers.
Duncan, who hails from York, S.C., will make his second PGA Tour start of the season at Sedgefield. His only prior appearance came at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic on May 8–11, 2025, where he finished in a tie for 54th with four rounds of 70, 69, 71 and 72, for a total of –2 (282) and collected $9,460 in prize money.
He is scheduled to tee off on the opening day of the event at 2:22 p.m. local time.
