Haley Rogers Named Fort Mill High School Athlete of the Week

Haley Rogers, a junior on the Fort Mill High School softball team, has been named Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance over the past six games.

Rogers delivered a strong showing both at the plate and in the circle. Offensively, she went 5-for-10, hitting .500 with one RBI. As a pitcher, she threw 26 innings and struck out 33 batters, playing a key role in her team’s recent success.

The recognition is part of a weekly award sponsored by the Fort Mill High School Athletic Booster Club and Fort Mill Super Chix, which highlights student-athletes for their efforts and achievements on and off the field.

Thomas Hyslip

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
