The GFWC York County Woman’s Club (GFWC-YC) is demonstrating its strong support for military and veteran families in York County, South Carolina, by offering two $4,000 college scholarships for the 2025-2026 school year.
These scholarships are available to York County high school seniors whose parent(s) are a veteran, reservist, or currently serving member of the military. The scholarship funds can be used at any post-graduate school and will be sent directly to the institution for tuition.
To apply for this opportunity, interested students should visit the GFWC-YC website at York County Woman’s Club Scholarship. The application process involves four components:
- Student Application
- School Counselor’s Form
- Teacher Recommendation
- Adult Recommendation
All application materials must be submitted through the website by April 30, 2025. The applications will be reviewed based on both need and merit, with the recipients announced no later than May 27, 2025.
Each part of the application needs to be completed by the appropriate individual: student, counselor, teacher, and an adult who can provide a recommendation.
