Due to overwhelming demand, the Savannah Bananas have added a second game to their 2025 World Tour stop in Charlotte. In addition to the originally scheduled game on Saturday, June 7, the team will now also play on Friday, June 6, at Bank of America Stadium.
This event is particularly noteworthy as it marks the first time baseball will be played at Bank of America Stadium. The stadium, primarily known as the home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, is one of three NFL venues selected to host the Savannah Bananas, alongside Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay and Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
Tickets for the Charlotte games are available exclusively through the Banana Ball Ticket Lottery, which closed last fall and will not reopen. This system was implemented to manage the high demand from fans eager to experience the team’s unique and entertaining style of play. However, tickets are available on the secondary market such as Stubhub and Seatgeek.
The addition of the second game underscores the significant enthusiasm for the Savannah Bananas in the Charlotte area. Danny Morrison, executive director of the Charlotte Sports Foundation, stated, “The excitement we have seen around the Savannah Bananas playing in Charlotte demonstrates the power of Banana Ball and the passion of their fans.”
