Pets of the Week – Humane Society of York County

Cat of the Week:

  • This BEAUTY is Penelope!
  • Super sad that Penelope came to the HSYC as a stray.
  • Though we scanned and discovered she was micro-chipped only to find that her owner had passed.
  • We cannot imagine the confusion for poor Penelope.
  • She’s now been with us for over 9 months!
  • What we’ve learned so far about this strikingly beautiful girl is…
  • She is an independent girl who knows exactly what she likes and dislikes.
  • Makes total sense since she couldn’t possibly understand why her owner just went away!
  • She asks respectfully that you abide by her likes!
  • Like all our babies, she is spayed, vaccinated, micro chipped and tested.
  • We estimated her age to be 5 years, 9 months old.
  • She’s been in the Cat Lounge before … so we know she does well with other cats – primarily submissive cats.
  • When Penelope picks YOU, you’ll know just how special you are.
  • If Penelope story melts your heart, please call us TODAY to make an appointment to meet her @ 803-802-0902

Dog of the Week:

  • OMG look at the tongue and teefers – this adorable girl is Xadie.
  • Xadie came to the HSYC as an owner surrender due to the owner’s circumstances.
  • As we’ve gotten to know more about Xadie we’ve found her to be an amazingly playful, sweet and funny girl.
  • She does not like Rescue life. Kennel existence is very stressful for this beauty.
  • Xadie tested positive for HW but has already undergone treatment so… she’s SUPER READY to start her NEW FURever Life.
  • Xadie is spayed, vaccinated, micro chipped and an noted, tested.
  • Xadie’s been with us for close to 100 days.
  • We estimate her age to be just over 2 years old.
  • Her energy level is fairly high.
  • We estimate her to be a cattle dog mix which may account for the energy!
  • She loves her walks and play time and will run like the wind in our yards.
  • If this beauty captures your heart, please call to make an appointment today to see if a connection is made @ 803-802-0902.
  • Our Adoption parameters can be found on our website www.humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org.
