MURFREESBORO, TN (January 20, 2025) — Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) has announced that 6,478 undergraduate students earned a spot on the Fall 2024 Dean’s List, a prestigious recognition of academic excellence.
To qualify for this honor, students must achieve a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while completing at least 12 semester hours. Among the distinguished scholars are several students from Fort Mill, South Carolina:
- Charlie Elliott
- Austin Lux
- Aidan Weidner
- Roman Phillips

Founded in 1911 as one of three state normal schools for teacher training, MTSU has grown into one of Tennessee’s largest undergraduate institutions, with a fall enrollment averaging over 20,000 students.
