Humane Society of York County – Pets of the Week

  • This HANDSOME Gray fella is Corey.
  • You can find Corey hanging out at our PAWSibilities Thrift Shop assessing ALL the great customers that come through our doors!
  • HSYC pulled Corey from Animal Control 68 days ago!
    • If you can believe it…
      • Corey was declawed and was put outside
        • PSA: Cats have only so many ways to communicate to us Hoomans: their nails and teeth. That’s it!
      • With that said, Corey is ISO someone who can read his WANTS. He tells us all so well but we HOOMANS just have to pay attention!!!
  • Corey is Mr. Independent. He will watch each and every person come through our shop doors.
    • He may or may not greet you. He wants you to work a little for his affections!
  • He’ll make an amazing companion to the right person, people or family.
  • He’d prefer a calm home where he can find his way to a window to enjoy watching the birds from safe inside a loving home.
  • We are confident that with the proper introductions he’d do well with another cat in the home.
    • Probably would prefer a youngster so he can train him properly!!! J
  • We estimate Corey to be just over 7 years YOUNG!
  • His likes include:
    • Enjoying a great window view
    • Loving on his terms and
    • Listening to all his people share stories oh and can’t forget…
    • Being brushed – again on his terms. Pay attention!
  • Like all our pets, Corey is neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped and tested. Ready to meet his TRUE FURever! Is that YOU???
  • If Corey’s story grabs at your heartstring, call today to make an appointment 803-802-0902.

  • This amazingly handsome SENIOR is Graham. A staff and volunteer Fav at the Rescue!
  • We’ve talked about Graham before … we are confident we will find his TRUE FUREVER soon – maybe they are listening TODAY.
  • Graham was tied to a pole with a note from his previous owners that they could no longer care for him. This is so sad for all involved.
  • Pet are sentient beings and mourn the loss of the family they had. But folks Graham is a survivor.
    • He is so easy.
    • He is such a good boy.
    • He is ISO a person, couple or family to call his own.
    • Somewhere he can simple be loved for his SENIOR YEARS.
  • He’s been at the HSYC now just over 2 years – it’s HIS TIME to find his TRUE FURever people.
  • He is estimated to be 11 years old. He is a Rottie mix.
  • He loves his walks and wants to just spend time hangin with his people.
  • He’s prefer a home where he is the only dog or where the other dogs in the household are calm/equal his energy.
  • If this gray faced boy grabs your heart, call today 803-802-0902 for an appointment.
  • We’d love for Graham to spend his silver years comfortably on a couch, loving his peeps.
  • Our Adoption parameters can be found on our website www.humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org.
