Richard Alan Shelor, 62, of Tega Cay, passed away at his home on December 13, 2024. He was born on April 7, 1962, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Roger A. Shelor and Shirley Howard Shelor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Shirley Shelor. He is survived by his brother, Randy Shelor, and his sister, Sherre (Brian) Costello.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 19, 2024, at River Hills Country Club from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
