Isaac Campbell, a senior on the Fort Mill High School Cross Country team, has been named the Fort Mill High School Athlete of the Week. This recognition celebrates his outstanding performance at the recent 5A State Championships, where he clocked an impressive 15:59 in the 5K, securing a 2nd place individual finish. Campbell’s remarkable effort also helped propel his team to victory, earning the title of 5A Division II State Champions.
The Fort Mill Athletic Booster Club, along with sponsors Jersey Mike’s Subs and Super Chix, presented Campbell with this week’s award.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
