Fort Mill School District Cheer Teams Secure Spots in State Championships

The SCHSL Class AAAAA Division II Cheer Qualifying competition was held on November 12, 2024, at Spring Valley High School. Among the standout performers were three teams from the Fort Mill School District: Fort Mill High School, Nation Ford High School, and Catawba Ridge High School. All three teams delivered strong performances that earned them qualifying scores, securing their places in the upcoming state championships.

Chapin High School took the top spot with an impressive score of 317, closely followed by St. James with 306. Catawba Ridge clinched third place with a score of 276.5, followed by Fort Mill High School in fourth with 270.5. Nation Ford shared sixth place with Easley, both scoring 251.5, underscoring the district’s competitive edge and dedication to excellence in cheerleading.

The top 12 teams from this qualifier will advance to the state finals, scheduled for November 23, 2024. Performance order at the state championships will be determined based on each team’s placement in the qualifying event.
